Update regarding cancelled appointments

During this time, we are doing our utmost to maintain our services to patients who are unwell and urgently need our care.

To do this, we need to reduce some of our planned and less urgent work. This has resulted in us cancelling some appointments.

We are doing this to support our staff, who are working to ensure they are fully prepared for any increase in demand on our resources in the next few weeks.

If you’ve had a letter informing you that your appointment or procedure has been cancelled, we are really sorry for the inconvenience caused. We will be in touch with you in due course to re-arrange.

If you haven’t received a letter, please come to your appointment as normal, but please read and follow our guidelines for anyone attending Alder Hey here.

This is a very busy time for our A&E dept. Remember, you have other options including; calling NHS 111, your local Walk-In, GP or pharmacy, or trying self care. Think your child might have coronavirus? Use 111.nhs.uk/covid-19 to find out what to do. Help us to help you.
